Adidas Is Back? Part Two

Last post we talked about Adidas' comeback in the fashion world with their classic sneakers. Today, we talk about how Adidas is seen in the streets and not just on the feet.

Everywhere I look, at school, in the city, on the fields, and even in magazines, someone is sporting the classic three stripe soccer trackpants. I've always been a huge fan of sweatpants. I'll take any excuse I can get to sit around all day and wear my sweats. It wasn't until I saw my brother wearing these sweatpants like they were the only thing in his closet did I realize how popular the sweatpants have become. Sure people have been wearing them all the time, but never have I seen them off the field. Now I've seen them on women in streets as if they are any old pair of jeans and I am loving it. It's a new twist. They are being worn as if they are black pants with three stripes but I haven't seen this trend styled so differently.

Up until now, it never occurred to me to think outside of the box with sweatpants. They don't just have to be lazy day apparel. Why not dress it up? Add some leather, add some colour, put on your favourite lipstick and go out tonight. Seeing the myriad ways that people all over are styling these sweatpants, I feel like there is no wrong way to wear them. Go crazy or stay put. Go fur or go wool. The possibilities are endless and I want to see how you style these pants.

Adidas Is Back?

Let's be honest, Adidas has never really been gone, but there has been an increase in Adidas on the streets. The iconic three stripe Adidas sneakers, and the iconic 3 stripe athletic pants everywhere you look you see someone sporting these two trends.

From model street style, to regular people going about their days. Guys and girls, we are all making our way to the closest Adidas to get out hands on these two items. Why don't we investigate these two pieces a little closer.

From one of my earliest fashion thoughts in middle school, I distinctly remember girls never wanting to be caught dead wearing sneakers with jeans, let alone a fancier look. Times have changed, or maybe my frame of mind has changed. Regardless, all around the social world and reality I see women wearing these black on white Adidas sneakers with rompers, boyfriend jeans, black pants, leather jackets, anything really, and one common factor between every look I see is that not one person looks ridiculous. Classy and well put together is all I can say about each and every person rocking this trend.

I think it's hard to wear this shoe poorly. Its quite versatile. Dressing it down like Kendall Jenner above with coloured jeans and a basic top, or girly it up with a romper and cute bag. I feel that you cannot go wrong when trying to style this trend.

Good luck styling and please if you try out this trend send me pictures! I'd love to see your take on this fashion trend!

Stay tuned for part two of this trend!

The New Business In The Front, Party In the Back

We've talked about clothes, fashion week, make up and other things, but one thing I believe we've only talked about once is hair. We all have it. We all deal with it. We all love it. And we all hate it. Let's delve deep into the hair world and discuss whether the latest trend is cute, lazy, chic or whatever it may be.

Airports, YouTube, school, on the streets, at parties, wherever your eyes land I guarantee you'll find someone sporting the half-bun. It is what it is. For the days when you're hair isn't falling where you'd like, or you just can't bring yourself to pull out the millions of hair products you own, the half-bun saves your life and brings the put together feel to your outfit. As easy as it is, there are different ways to rock this look. To keep it more polished give it more ballerina bun than top-knot and add some texturizing spray and you're good. When it's Saturday afternoon and you've just rolled out of bed to get breakfast and you don't want to give up with a messy ponytail the top-knot gives you the 'I look like I tried, but I really didn't" look.

Sienna Miller in the streets, to models in the airport, to models in magazines, everywhere you turn there is the half-bun. Use it. Master it. Embrace it. Love it.

And don't be afraid to add a little twist to it. Add a bow, or curl your hair, maybe some sea salt spray. The choices are endless. All I ask is for a picture to see how you mastered this hairstyle! Send them to me on twitter @vogue_alamode or tag me in them on instagram @amber_sabri!! I would love to see your take on this hairstyle.

Tell me what you think in the comment below! Is the half-bun the new messy ponytail or is the new cute hairstyle that everyone should wear?

Product Review: Lush Bath Bomb

I'm not one for a relaxing, hour long bath at the end of the day like some people, but every time I step foot in Lush the urge to take a bath and buy a bath bomb increases.

Everyone has heard of them. Bath bombs are seen on instragram, twitter and snapchat. A picture of a colourful bathtub is always a click away. I resisted, I turned away, but in the end I caved. The colours, the scents and the wonderful people who work at Lush drew me in enough to make me cave and purchase a bath bomb.

Whilst at Lush, I bought the Twilight bath bomb. It is pink and glittery on the outside, and smells absolutely amazing. Once dropped into my warm bathtub, the bath bomb fuzzed out and glitter and pink exploded everywhere. Minutes passed and I jumped in and attempted to enjoy my bath. I didn't enjoy it, but I did enjoy experiencing a bath bomb. Sitting there in a cloud of pinkish purple, and glitter everywhere I turn was enough to put a smile on my face. Once I felt I did my time, I hopped out and to my surprise I was covered in glitter. I loved it. I am a firm believer in the idea that everything should be covered in glitter. To increase my happiness, I also smelled like heaven. Now I'm not skilled in the nose area, but I do believe I was covered in the sweet scent of lavender. The scent filled my bathroom and carried all throughout the upper level of my house. Once again, I loved it.

In all, the product was pretty and glittery and 1000000% worth the money I spent on it. My skin felt fresh and my skin smelled delectable. I highly recommend using bath bombs from Lush if you ever get the chance. It's impossible to sit in a pool of glitter and pink and not have a smile of contentment on your face. I don't even like baths but I am already ordering more Lush bath bombs as we speak.

Just look at how pretty it looks!!!

Take Me Out To The Ballgame (preferably Yankees)

It's summer which means hats of all kinds have made their appearances left, right, and center. Recently, I've been seeing one specific type of hat more frequently than any other: a baseball hat.

I see men and women wearing baseball hats around my town, in the city, on instagram, and celebrities are even wearing them on classy outfits! Maybe it's the casualty that the hat brings to an outfit, or maybe it's out of pure laziness, I don't know, but I am loving it.

Typically you'll catch me wearing baseball cap on bad hair days, but the more I wear it the more I love. My style in general is very simple and casual, and the baseball hat really brings a sporty, more put together look to me. I do find it odd that I look more together when I lazily place a hat on my head, but I'll go with it.

If it is me wearing a baseball hat, for one thing it must be a Yankees hat. I need the style and to be able to support my team all at the same time. Next, I'm probably wearing a plain t-shirt, v-neck to feminize it a little bit and pairing it with linen shorts typically a neutral colour. My style has strayed from denim shorts recently and I have been buying loose fitting, flowy shorts of different colours. And I must say my comfort level has risen extremely high since my transition. To top it all off, it's summertime so I'm most likely wearing sandals or flip flops to show off my freshly painted toe nails.

Let's check out how celebrities are sporting the baseball hat trend.

Dressed up, dressed down, leather hat, Yankees hat, whichever way you choose to wear it, do it with confidence, and make sure you are supporting the greatest team of all time, the New York Yankees.

Send me pictures on twitter (@vogue_alamode) or instagram (@amber_sabri) of you rockin' this trend!!
