We've discussed shoes, pants, and what else is left? Oh! We cannot forget the crop tops. Everywhere you look someone is wearing a crop top and once again we have the 90s to thank for that.
A crop top is what its name is. Basically a shorter top that sets usually above the belly button. Unless worn with the right bottoms, crop tops can lean more towards the awkward side of fashion. If that is where you land on the fashion spectrum, we have our crop top queen herself to guide us away from awkward, Taylor Swift.
Street style. On the Red Carpet. Out for lunch. On talk shows. Unless you've been hiding under a rock for the past couple of months, you know the new Taylor thing is crop tops. She manages to make the crop top work in every direction she goes; stripes, solids, prints, skirts, pants, casual, fancy. She gets by with showing just enough of her midriff to keep it classy but still cheeky. Chic and effortless.
This 90s revival lands at the top of my fashion favourites list. Easily paired with something high waisted, the top accentuates the feminine curves of a woman's body and reveals enough skin to keep it cute and classy. Barely any thought needs to be put into creating an outfit (perfect for those lazy summer days).
