Discovered in JFK Airport at age 14, Kate Moss became the anti-supermodel for her waif figure in comparison to Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, and Elle Macpherson.
When she first started out young and unknown, her photos were described as dirty realism.
Over the course of her career, Moss was featured in campaigns with Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Calvin Klein, Chanel, Rimmel, and Bulgari. Over the years she can be seen in fashion spreads in the UK, U.S, France, and International Vogue. In addition to her appearances in Vogue, Vanity Fair, The Face, and W. are just a few other magazines spread she appeared in. Kate Moss has also appeared on the cover of British Vogue 30 times.
Besides her famous model work, Kate Moss is also known for causing controversy. In 2005, Moss was dropped by H&M, Chanel, and Burberry due to a drug allegation. She apologized, but never admitting to any drug related activities. In reply to the allegations, Alexander McQueen took a stand and supported Kate Moss by projecting her image onto a glass pyramid during one of his shows and took his final bow wearing a T-shirt saying, "We Love You Kate".
In conclusion, Kate Moss changed the world of fashion and continues to do it to this day.
