My Top 3 Trends of Couture

Couture Fall 2014 Fashion Week took place in Paris last week and with fashion week, fellow fashion lovers glimpse at the upcoming fashion trends for next season.

Many trends appeared all throughout the week, but I have compiled a short list of my top three favourite upcoming trends. 

In shorts the list consists of: short shorts, the colour purple, and legs.

Short Shorts:

Although only appearing in two shows, Chanel and Armani Privé, these two designers hold extreme influence over the fashion world and given their acceptance of this trend in the couture world, expect shorts to be a large part of next season.

The Colour Purple:

Numerous shows gravitate to the alluring colour, purple. It's known for its elegance and association with royalty, so it only make sense that purple shows itself in the Couture Fall shows. Chanel, Alexis Mabille, Giambattista Valli, and Atelier Versace depict the elegancy in the varying shades of purple during their shows in gorgeous gowns and

Legs Legs Legs:

Not all of us have legs for miles, but everyone has a nice set of legs that need to be shown off. In looks found in shows such as, Versace and Margiela, these designers take slits to another level. Slits ride high at the hip bone and accentuate anyone's legs perfectly. If you've got thousands of dollars laying around, by all means, purchase one of these ensembles.
